Open data

Draft for review. The reuse terms on this page are our proposal. They will be confirmed with the LGU and a lawyer before the site goes live.

Everything you can see on this site about government projects, you can also download. This page says where the data comes from, what you can get, and how to credit it.

Where the project data comes from

  • The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) publishes its projects on its infrastructure transparency portal.
  • That data was collected by a community tool and republished by BetterGov.PH as an open dataset under CC0 (public domain).
  • We took the 2,578 Quezon City projects from that dataset, and later added 169 more from DPWH's main website. Those 169 often carry an office-level location rather than the site's own, and the map marks them as "approximate location".
  • The project data on this site was last refreshed on 6 October 2026. It is not yet updated automatically.

We show the data as published. Where DPWH has no value (for example, most projects have no target date), the site says "no data" rather than guessing.

What you can download

Project list, with a Download as CSV button
Every project, or just the ones matching your search: DPWH number, name, type, status, progress, contractor, agency, budget, dates, location, whether the location is approximate, UN goals, and the DPWH source link.
How the site is doing, with a CSV
Counts of reports, staff responses, projects past their target date and ratings.
/api/v1/projects.json
All projects as a map feed (GeoJSON), as used by our own map. Each project also has /api/v1/projects/id/reports.json (its public reports) and /api/v1/projects/id/ratings.json (its ratings and reviews).

Reports and reviews are written by residents. You may quote them, but please do not republish anyone's name, and remember that a report is a resident's account, not a finding of fact.

How to reuse and credit

  • Project data: you can reuse it freely; it is public domain (CC0) as republished by BetterGov.PH. Please still name DPWH as the original source.
  • Figures this site works out (counts, rankings, "past target date", approximate locations, UN goals): please credit "Demo LGU" and link back, so readers can see how they were worked out.
  • A suggested credit: Source: Demo LGU, from DPWH project records republished by BetterGov.PH.
